I am an amateur photographer living in Melbourne, Australia. Born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand I had a few hobbies, mainly reading and dancing.
Photography was not one of them for many years.
My mother was the photographer in our family. Wherever we went the camera was either in her hand or hung around her neck. She was and still is remembered for being the one with the camera and the one to go to if you were looking for a photo of someone. Unfortunately, I did not take the opportunity to learn from her before she passed away.
I moved from New Zealand to Australia in 2010 and this is when my love of photography began. It started when a friend took me with her on a trip and we visited a rose garden.
It was just gorgeous and so, armed with a simple digital camera I started snapping away, experimenting with angles and light. I was pleased with the results and as soon as I could I upgraded to my first DSLR and off I went. I am self-taught, love taking shots of the outdoors and have found that there is just nothing like the calm of standing outside watching the sunset, camera at the ready.
There is so much beauty around us and life is so busy that most people miss the magnificent moments that Mother Nature is sharing with us on a daily basis.
My aim is to capture these moments and share them with the world.
I love to shoot outdoors and am hoping to work with people/models with disabilities in the future.
