This is a very uplifting book about acceptance and kindness. The illustrations are colourful and almost retro or Disney -like. There are cute repetitive images like the stripy and spotty socks that Claire and her mum wear that brighten up the page.
This book could be read to all children in a primary class and generate a lot of discussion.

A fun, quirky tale about the worldwide bullying epidemic. So many children will be able to relate to this story. So many children do not ‘fit in’- just like these characters. ‘There are other kids just like you’ is a fabulous message and one that should be spread far and wide. It is okay to be different; it is okay to be yourself, and it is okay to accept others for who they are. Great message! Thanks Tabitha.

A charming picture book, appropriate for a wide age range. The illustrations are gorgeous, the story is fun, bright, uplifting and holds a great message. Compassion, empathy, acceptance and friendship play an important role in this new title. These things, of course, are truly important lessons for young minds. The best time to learn acceptance is when small.
I cannot wait to read the next in the series. Well done!

My name is Jax and I like Mikah the monkey. My best part is when he goes to his new house and he likes it anyway and his pals find him anyway.

I would like if there was another Mikah the monkey book soon.

Dear tabitha and mikah monkey

My name is sophia and I am 6 mum is helping me. I have the mikah monkey book on my shelf and I wanted to tell you that I love him very much! I got it for chrismas.
I am deaf and I use sign just like and I think it is great that you wrote a book about kids like me.  I think that mikah and mum monkey are very cool and cute and I read my book about him every day before bed and when I have time in the morning.
I think it is great that you are showing people that it is o.k to be different and that you should not be so scared when you have to go somewhere new or do things.
I like when mikah monkey is blowing rasberrys in the tree and when he is playing with the kids.
I hope you write another book about  mikah.

My kids enjoy following Mikah, especially to giggle at his cheeky and adventurous antics. My youngest (4) asks for Mikah on a regular basis. Great story and message. Thanks Tabitha! x

Not only for the littlies .. the underlying message is so powerful for all of us. Just like Mikah, I prefer to stay in my comfort zone. Well done Tab for getting such a powerful message out there in a manner that parents will be able to put forward when their children are hesitant or afraid when something new is about to happen. xx
